Copyright Policy

Your responsibility

As a Spaxel user, you are responsible for the content you create, upload, submit, publish or share. Do not post, send or submit content that violates or infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights.

Before uploading content, including posts, images, videos, audio, profile assets, avatar frames and chat bubble styles, make sure that you own the necessary rights or have permission to use it.

Copyright

Copyright protects original works of authorship, such as writing, music, photographs, artwork, videos, software and other creative works. Copyright generally protects the particular expression of an idea, rather than the underlying idea, fact or general concept.

Copyright infringement

Spaxel does not allow content that infringes copyright. Using another person’s copyrighted work without permission or another legally valid basis may violate our policies and applicable law.

Some laws recognize exceptions such as fair use, fair dealing or other permitted uses. These exceptions depend on the facts and the law that applies. Spaxel does not make a final legal determination about ownership or infringement between private parties.

Creator submissions and digital goods

If you submit an avatar frame, chat bubble style, profile decoration or other digital good for review, you confirm that you own the work or have all permissions necessary to submit and distribute it through Spaxel.

Do not submit unlicensed fan art, characters, logos, photographs, music, fonts or other third-party material as your own digital good. A submission may be rejected, removed, restricted or delisted if we receive a credible rights complaint or otherwise believe that it may infringe another person’s rights.

During the initial launch phase, submitting or publishing a digital good does not create a right to payment, revenue share or royalties.

Copyright complaints

If you believe that content available through Spaxel infringes your copyright, contact [email protected]. Please provide your name and contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the allegedly infringing content, a good-faith statement, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.

Do not include unnecessary personal information, passwords, payment information or identity documents in a complaint.

Review and removal

We may contact you for additional information, contact the account holder or remove, restrict or disable access to reported content while we review a complaint. We may preserve relevant information where necessary for safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution or enforcement.

Spaxel is not a court and generally cannot decide ownership disputes between private parties. We may be unable to remove content when a complaint does not contain enough information or when the use may be legally permitted.

Mistaken or incorrect removal

If your content was removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was mistaken or the content was misidentified, contact [email protected]. Include the content location, an explanation of the mistake and information showing that you own or are authorized to use the work.

Where a legally applicable counter-notice or restoration process applies, we may provide additional instructions.

Repeat infringement

We may remove content and warn, restrict, suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright or other intellectual-property rights. We may also prevent an account holder from creating another account to evade enforcement.

Trademark

A trademark is a word, name, symbol, design, slogan or combination that identifies the source of goods or services. Do not use another person’s trademark to impersonate them, make digital goods appear officially sponsored, or mislead users about the source of content.

Lawful references, commentary, criticism, parody, review or fan-community use may be permitted when they do not falsely suggest sponsorship or affiliation and do not otherwise violate applicable law or these Guidelines.

Trademark complaints

If you believe content on Spaxel infringes your trademark, contact [email protected] with your name and contact information, the trademark or rights relied upon, the location of the content, an explanation of likely confusion or deception, and a statement that you are authorized to make the complaint.

Misleading complaints

Do not submit a knowingly false, fraudulent or misleading copyright or trademark complaint. You may be responsible for losses or legal consequences arising from a deliberately false or abusive complaint under applicable law. Spaxel may restrict accounts that misuse the reporting process.
